Campaign Performance Tips
Practical ways to get more from every campaign you send through Mersal.
A few habits separate campaigns that perform well from ones that don't — none of them require guesswork, since the data is already sitting in your dashboard.
Reach contacts on their preferred channel
Rather than picking one channel out of habit, use a unified campaign to send across SMS, WhatsApp, and Email together for a single campaign. Different contacts respond better on different channels, and a unified send means you're not leaving reach on the table by guessing which one channel to use.
Segment before you send
Use groups and custom attributes to target the right subset of contacts with a relevant message, instead of sending the same generic campaign to everyone. Even basic segmentation (by group, or a custom attribute like purchase history or location) tends to outperform an unsegmented blast.
Check delivery reporting after every send
Your dashboard KPI cards and Reports show total/success/pending/failed per channel and an overall delivery-rate figure. If a specific channel shows an unusually high failure rate on a campaign, investigate before your next send — see Message Delivery Issues for a troubleshooting checklist.
Plan-restricted features
A/B testing and send-time optimization are part of Mersal's campaign intelligence tools and are available on eligible plans. Where available, use A/B testing to compare message variants and send-time optimization to time delivery for when each contact is most likely to engage, rather than sending everything at once.
